Dear brothers and sisters in the LORD,
When it gets this hot in the summer time, for some reason, it always brings "hell"
to my mind. Being born in the fall and having West Virginia blood in me (my dad's
side), hot weather never has been something I was very fond of. I thank the Lord
for the day, but the heat sometimes is tough. Therefore hell comes to mind. How
could anyone in their right mind, want to go there, choose to go there, put off a
decision to stay away from there, is beyond my understanding of human thinking.
Even folks who like hot weather don't go out and just stand there and sweat! They
still want to be near water. The thing about hell is that there will be no water
nearby. Jesus, the water of life, will be in heaven and that person will be in a "lake"
of fire.
Seems to me, we should be doing those things which "true" salvation
leads us to do! Sad, so many are not born-again. So, we have work to
do if we're of "true" salvation! (Luke 16)
This past month, we had 28 kids (young & old) ask Jesus to save them in
Vacation Bible School. Pray for them and their parents. Many of these are not in
church and the kids can't continue in their decision unless the Word, prayer & a true
church becomes part of their lives. Also, Adrian Strickland was saved and will be
baptized. I praise the Lord for these decisions and for the growth spiritually of so
many who testify of a higher state of grace and walk in the Lord.
Stay faithful to Him, His Word, the prayer closet, His House and
I'll see you there!
