A Note from the Pastor
The mission statement of Bread of Life is this: “To minister to aging adults, children and families
by providing a nutritious meal; to share the love of Jesus Christ and take action against hunger in
our community”. We understand that seniors, in particular, may not be cooking as much, or getting
the nutrition they need. Maybe you are a single parent and have a financial burden, maybe you are a
widow(er), maybe you just need a break. We are here to serve you, and welcome you to our church
We will be serving dinner every Wednesday night in the Broadus Worship Center (the gym) to
anyone who is able to come. We will start serving at 5:30 and stop serving around 6:15. You are
invited to stay for the 7pm bible study!
“And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your
God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”.
Ruth's Garden is located at and maintained by Broadus Baptist Church. Once the
produce is harvested, it will be distributed throughout the community, free of charge.
The purpose of Ruth's garden is to teach anyone who wishes to volunteer how to live
off the land, at the same time teaching them about being a cheerful giver. ( So let each
one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7)
If you know someone who you would like to send a basket to, please contact Joni

The Dianne Q. Cassidy Memorial Library will no longer be open on
Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm. If anyone who would like to come
and check out books, please call the church and we will meet you to
unlock the door.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord Jesus;
Another school year has begun. Again it seems as though we just started summer and its almost at an end. We have been
having a great time in the Lord these past number of months. I rejoice in what He is doing and what He's up to.
It's so much sweeter to rest in His hand and in His care; to know that He is on top of all our ways and on top of all of our
desires. He says He loves us with an "everlasting love". We love Him because "He first loved us". For He "so loved us". There
is no love in this world that can or will ever compare to His love. We catch bits and pieces of it in our relationships with others
but in totality, His love is full, everlasting, enduring, long suffering, compassionate, forgiving and unequalled. Praise His
Blessed Holy Name! There is non like Him. Isaiah says "beside Him there is NO savior!" Aren't you so thankful and grateful for
his? Praise him then, daily and always.
Remember pray for the students and school children of America. Stay faithful to your prayer closet, your Bible study, and
His House. I promise His abundant blessing will rest on you for this. I'll see you at His House!
I love you
